Creamy Potato Bake with Mushrooms & Bacon

A very tasty side dish. The quantities can be changed depending on the amount of people you are serving. This dish can be made with or without the Bacon!


Serves 6


Ingredients:


  • 1 1/2 kg potato peeled thinly sliced

  • 2 cup mushrooms sliced

  • 250 g bacon bits

  • 2 cup cheese grated

  • 300 ml thickened cream

  • 1 Beef stock cube


Method:


Layer a large baking dish with potatoes to cover the base.

Sprinkle with some of the mushrooms, bacon and cheese. Continue layering, finishing with a layer of cheese.

Combine cream and beef stock powder and pour over the top.

Bake at 200C for 1 hour until top is brown and potatoes are tender. NOTES

Cover the top with foil if browning too quickly.
